Ruth E. Jeschke
May 11, 1933 - May 4, 2022

Ruth E. Jeschke was born May 11, 1933 on the family farm in rural Denison, Iowa, the daughter of O.E. and Lena (Hartwig) Pump. She was baptized on July 1, 1933 in Charter Oak and later confirmed her faith on March 30, 1947 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison.

On April 4, 1965, Ruth was united in marriage to Marvin Jeschke at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. They made their home in Denison. She was a homemaker and remarkable cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for her husband and she always kept the house in immaculate shape. She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls and teddy bears.

Ruth passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, attaining the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months, and twenty-three days. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Marvin Jeschke of Denison; five nieces: Kimberly Jeschke and her significant other Bronchee Mims, Joy Martinez and her fiancé Terry Soll, Tammy Jeschke, Kayleen and her husband Bob Schultze, and Becky and her husband Richard Hanlin; seven nephews: Keith Jeschke and his wife Becky, Kevin Jeschke and his wife Anne, Korey Jeschke, Brian Jeschke and his wife Rose, Jim Jeschke and his wife Kari, Bob Riessen and his wife Marlane, and Russell Riessen and his wife Cindy; brothers-in-law: Berdell and his wife Marilyn Jeschke and Darlo Jeschke; several great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 also at the funeral home. Interment is in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. Memorials may be directed to the family.
