Della H. Brewster, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at home with her family by her side. Della was born on July 16, 1933, to the late Burl and Ollie Dishman. She married Carl Brewster and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2012. Della was a pure-hearted, God-fearing woman who loved to take care of people. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was always willing to help anyone, and since she loved gardening, she found joy in selling and giving away the vegetables she grew, because she never wanted anyone to be hungry. If you visited her, you never left with an empty stomach.
Della is survived by her children, Lloyd Brewster, Huntington, Floyd (Andrea) Brewster, Jonesboro, and Katina (Mark) Dunbar, Marion; grandchildren, Chona (Ron) McKinley, Crystal (Jay) Jones, Martin Brewster, Johnathon, Shadara, and Karley Myers, Angela, Kelsey, and Jacob Dunbar, Susie (Richard) Messler, and Kathleen (Roy) Noland; niece, Juanita Buck; and nephew, Ben Dishman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Ollie; husband, Carl; and daughters, Patricia Roberts, Juanita Smith, and Barbara and Edith Brewster.
Arrangements for Della have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, where a visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Neal officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery.
