Mary Agnes Gradwohl, 99, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her daughter, Kathleen Evely and son, Robert J. Gradwohl on April 26th, 2022. Mary was born August 8, 1922, in Johnstown, PA to Edward B. Little and Irene (McKernan) Little. Mary was later joined by her sisters, Irene Benson and Sue Ann Little Conway as well as her brother, Edward B. Little Jr. who all proceeded her in death. Mary attended Johnstown Catholic High School where she met her future husband Robert H. Gradwohl, and they later married at St. Mary's Basilica in Phoenix on August 16th, 1947. Mary relished in her life as a traditional housewife caring for her husband Bob for 62 years until his passing, and being mother to their two children. Mary and Robert were founding members of St. Simon & Jude Parrish and we're fully engaged in church activities and school activities at SSJ and later Bourgade High School and Brophy Prep. At Saint Simon & Jude they made many friends and cherished those friendships throughout the years. "What a blessing to have had someone like Aggie Gradwohl in your life! Although she will be sadly missed she still brings a smile to my face when I think of her tiny stature but enormous heart. Just as her voice will be in my memory forever so will her wonderful giggle. I met Aggie and Bob beginning in the mid 1980's and always felt so very fortunate to be able to work with such wonderful people. Their love and commitment for each other and their family radiated to all who were lucky enough to wander into their path. Aggie's warmth and kindness is an example of the goodness that can be sprinkled throughout one's life and the positive impact one can have on so many. She established great success in her chosen role of wife, mother and homemaker and it is with heartfelt sincerity that I thank her wonderful children and family for their love and devotion to her. I will remember her always...."
