Dorothy J. Hinkle, age, 94, of Quincy, died Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:15 a.m. in St. Vincent Home.
Dorothy was born January 9, 1928 in Saint Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Jess and Marie Gibson Young. She married Raymond J. "Jiggs" Hinkle on February 24, 1947 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2017.
Dorothy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 40 years. She worked at Motorola and at Farm and Home Supply.
Dorothy is survived by three children, Lee Hinkle of Quincy, D'Ann (Don) Krankka of New London, MO, and Steve (Rhonda) Hinkle of Fowler, IL; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Cormier of NH, and a special niece, Sandy McKenna.
In addition to her husband Raymond, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents,, and a granddaughter, Tamara Lynn "Tammy" Logsdon.
Graveside Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Greenmount Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Stamper officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
Memorials: Charity of the Donor's Choice.
