Suzanne Laurence Ayers, 74, passed away on April 18, 2022, in Scottsdale, Arizona after a brief, but serious, illness. She was fondly known as "Suzi" to all who knew her. Suzi was born in Lachute, Quebec, Canada on October 31, 1947. She was educated at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal and attended administrative school afterwards.
Suzi's journey took her to Rosemere, Quebec after marrying Bob Macdonald. It was there that she raised her three children, Rob, Laurie, and Shannon. Suzi married Phil Savoie in 1990 and her family grew with the addition of Phil's children, Jayne, Jo-Ann, July, and Dave.
Almost thirty years ago, Suzi, Phil, and her kids moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to be closer to her sister, Jane, and the AZ sunshine. Suzi and Phil's blended family grew even more over the years, including thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; to whom she will be forever known as Grami and Grandma Suzi.
Suzi spent 24 years as Director of Events at Mastro's City Hall Steakhouse, where she continually eclipsed sales goals and received numerous awards for her accomplishments. Mastro's City Hall's tremendous success was due in no small part to her attention to detail and her commitment to customer care. Suzi was the Master Class of event directors. Her extensive work family loved her as much as she loved them.
Suzi was known for her brilliant smile that lit up every room she entered.
In her free time, Suzi loved watching movies with Phil and spoiling their beloved rescue pup, Gus. She had a passion for cooking, spending time at the beach with her grandkids, and traveling back to her hometown of Lachute to visit her brothers, Ernie (deceased January 2017) and John, and their families. Suzi also loved cruising around Arizona, enjoying the sun, on the back of Phil's Harley-Davidson.
Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00pm. Please wear a pop of red in honor of Suzi's favorite color. If you are unable to attend the service, you may join via live stream at https://vimeo.com/701736107. "I knew Suzi through our work together at Mastro's. I'll never forget the first day I met her, and she told me all about her career and path at Mastro's. She truly loved what she did and it showed in her genuine love and enthusiasm for every single person she met. Her clients also inevitably ended up as friends. Suzi made everyone feel like they were the only ones in the room, and she was a consummate professional. She loved sharing photos and stories of all her wonderful family. She will be sorely missed, and will also continue to be an inspiration for us all. Thank you for everything Suzi, and to her family - thank you for sharing her with us. "

"
During this emotional time, I want you to know I?m thinking about all of you. I want to assure you my support and bring you my tender affection with a few words.
Your mother was a great lady. Her generosity, kindness and her joy of living inspired me.
I had the chance to meet her a few times in Lachute and I told my two daughters that I would like to grow old with wisdom like your beautiful mother did.
Strangely your mom and your grandma looked a lot like my mom, who left us 18 years ago.
Losing a mom is a great sadness that upsets the pillars of our existence.
Your beautiful thoughts of love for her will ensure that she will continue to live on with you and everyone who loved her.
Today remember her and keep her in your hearts. I know she is watching from above. Her greatest happiness is certainly to know that you are going on with your life without dwelling too much.
When your pain eases a little, her memory will live on in you. Beautiful thoughts and beautiful memories will come to remind you of the beauty of your mom.
My deepest condolences. I think of you all very much xxx Kisses.
Josee,
Zak, Alexim, Fred and Léa xoxoxo
PS: sorry for my english but hoping that you will understand me ? xxx"
