Jackie L. Blackburn, age 86, of Omaha, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Maple Crest Care Center.

"Lord, though hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." - Psalm 90:1-2
Jackie Lee Hunter Blackburn was born August 29, 1935, in Rapides Station, LA to the late Jack Hunter, Sr. and Parlee Isles Hunter. Jackie departed this life for eternal rest on April 29, 2022.
Jackie accepted Christ at an early age at Old St. Mark Baptist Church. She was an active member of Youth Choir, Sunshine Band, and BTU (Baptist Training Union). She was a graduate of Peabody High School. After high school, Jackie married Leroy Bullard and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Later in life, Jackie married Clifton Blackburn. Jackie, affectionately known as Mother Blackburn was known by all for her gift of baking. Whether family, friends or church members; she was never too busy to share her knowledge of the skill she loved so much.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband; Clifton Blackburn, daughter; Karmaline Blackburn, brothers; Warner B. Hunter, Randolph Hunter, Henry M. Hunter (Sherry), Robert Hunter, Allan Hunter, and sister; Oscar Nell Hunter.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Harold Hunter (Judy), Larry Bullard (Annie), Terry Bullard, Clint Bullard, Johnny Blackburn (Connie), Naomi Cornelius, Faith Cole, Karla Blackburn, Harper Blackburn, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers; Jack Hunter, Jr., Sylvester Hunter (Petra), sisters; Brenda Ford (Arnor), Debra Jackson, and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11AM till start at service at Salem Baptist Church 3131 Lake Street Omaha, NE 68111.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 6, 2022, at 12Noon at Salem Baptist Church. Interment will take place following service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
