Viola Long
Canton -Viola J. Long, 87, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on January 30, 1935 in Peoria to Roy and Bessie (Keithley) Whittles.
She married Daryl Long on April 10, 1985 in Eureka, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Terry Whittles, Ben (Judy) Mitchell, Pam (James) Fahel, Frederick (RoxAnne) Mitchell, Christina (Joe Koeppel) Mitchell, Robert (Christie) Mitchell, Vanessa (Mark) Butterworth, Dorothy (Randy Sheets) Roach, several grandchildren, Many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Joey "Tim Stangland" Mitchell, brothers, Roy Jr, Harold Sr, John, sisters, Readith, Ruby, Dorothy, Marjorie, Betty and three grandchildren.
In her younger years she enjoyed traveling, but most of all she loved her family and friends.
A graveside funeral will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2 PM at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. There will be no visitation. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with services.
