Delores Darlene Jensen was born on October 26, 1939, to William and Gladys (Limbrecht) Soll in Denison. She graduated from Irwin High School with the class of 1958. On February 1, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger Carlin Jensen and they had three sons: Carlin, Curtis and Craig.
Delores worked as a fulltime mom, at the Manilla Manor for 18 years, the Denison Care Center for 10 years, and at the Camelot Care Center for 6 years. She was an avid caretaker and also spent time volunteering at the Denison Senior Center.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. After her dog "Bear" passed, she was able to spend time with Craig's dog, Whitey. She enjoyed watching the neighbor kids going up and down the hill in front of her house. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her friend, Darlene and visiting with her neighbor, Cindy.
Delores passed away at her home on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Jensen on January 2, 2017; and brother, William Soll. She is survived by her three sons: Carlin (Holly) Jensen of San Jose, California, Curtis (Brenda) Jensen of Denison, and Craig Jensen of Denison, four grandchildren: James Jensen of Los Angeles, California, Jackie Jensen of San Jose, California, Lisa Jensen of Carroll, Brittany (Brett) Oakes of Grimes; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marlys McNeill of Yuma, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, and the funeral service will held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, all at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison with interment to follow in the Oakland Cemetery also in Denison. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
