In loving memory of

Virginia Belle Brown
September 7, 1956 - April 21, 2022

Virginia Belle Brown passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday April 21, 2022, at 11:30 p.m. Virginia was born to parents Joseph P. Buckler and Shirley Mae Buckler, both of Marion. She graduated from Marion High School in 1975.
Ricky D. Brown husband, survives. Other survivors include son, Deric P. (Jessica) Brown; daughter, Diane R. Brown; father, Joseph P. Buckler; brothers, David W. (Melissa) Buckler and John E. (Leticia) Buckler; and granddaughters, Emma B. Brown and Sophie K. Brown.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mae Buckler.
Virginia Brown lived her life as a vibrant testimony of what Jesus calls us to be. She was an intelligent, joyful, discerning, strong woman of God. She treasured her family. She always provided comfort at anytime of the day while asking nothing in return. Her husband of 40 years, Ricky D. Brown, adored her and together they raised their children, Deric and Diane, to know what living for God really means with true sacrifice, integrity, loyalty, compassion, and doing everything with a giving heart. Virginia never failed to be anything less than excellent.
She had many passions, including gospel music. She was raised and groomed for ministry, singing with The Buckler Family singing group. She showed a lot of her love through cooking, baking, and candy making, and she also enjoyed sewing, crafting, shopping, antiquing, and spending quality time with the ones she loved.
We will never know or understand God's timing for everything, but if you knew Virginia, she was ready to meet Jesus. She has fought the fight and she has finished the race.
Arrangements for Virginia have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion. Virginia's service will be private. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity in Marion.
Flowers can be sent to this location.

"Virginia is now experiencing everything that she sang about as she preached the Word of God through music and song. Her faith, hope and trust in our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was evident in her daily living. We will miss her dearly, but know that she is no longer homesick for Heaven. "See the bright light shine It's just about home time I can see my Father standing at the door This world has been a wilderness I'm ready for deliverance Lord, I've never been this homesick before" Ginny is probably directing the Heavenly choir right now! My thoughts and prayers are with the family. David Hurd Greenwood, IN"

Greg and Gladious Stout wrote on Apr 25, 2022:

"Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Those are the "fruits of the Spirit." (Gal 5:22). It's unusual to see ALL of these in action in one individual person. That's why Virginia was an unusually special person. To get "fruit" like that in your life.... you must be connected to the "vine" (Jesus Christ). Virginia always strove to get closer to the Lord. We thank God for bringing Virginia into our lives. Virginia, Rick, Deric, Diane was a divine connection for us during a pivotal time of change in our lives. The many hours of prayers and discussion together will never be forgotten.... nor will this special friend and lady. We dearly love Virginia. Our hearts ache for such a loss."
