In loving memory of

Ted Stuart, Jr.
January 31, 1936 - April 16, 2022

Ted Stuart Jr. MD, MBA , 86, died on April 16th, 2022 in Peoria, Arizona. He was the husband of Georgeann "Toni" Stuart for 56 years. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, son of Ted and Edith Stuart. He graduated from Baylor University Medical School in 1962 and earned his MBA from Arizona State University in 1996. Between July 1966 and July 1967 Ted was drafted and served as a Captain in the Army for the 18th surgical MASH unit in Pleiku. In 1975, Ted was president of Maricopa County Chapter of Arizona Academy of Family Physicians. He practiced family medicine and truly loved finding solutions for his patients.

Ted enjoyed sailing and was a member of the Lake Pleasant Sailing club for over 30 years. His happy place was under wind power on the water. Ted also loved woodworking, especially wood turning and did this daily until his diagnosis of Alzheimers. Ted was a voracious reader. He would be reading several books on any given week. He was always playful which made him the best grandfather on the planet. His grandchildren enjoyed sitting in his lap to read books, playing chess, doing "gopher hunts:" in the backyard, sailing and trips to the bookstore. Pop Pop will be sorely missed. Even though Ted had Alzheimer's, he was accepting of his condition and still enjoyed a very happy life right up until he passed.

He is survived by his wife Toni Stuart, his children Ted Stuart III, Mark Stuart, Anne Pate, Lori Stuart Youngdahl, Leslie Stuart Maryk and his grandchildren Andrew Stuart, Margaret Stuart, Shane Maryk, Spencer Maryk, Axel Maryk, Tyler Youngdahl, Erik Youngdahl.
