William "Bill" Earl Tyer was born July 26, 1939 and died April 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents: Earl and Emma Tyer and brother, Richard.
Survived by daughter, Denise (Jim) Nabors; son, Duane (Linda) Brock; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Calvin (Barb) Tyer; sisters: Naomi (Leonard) Lund and Norma Jean (Paul) Linnell; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill graduated from Omaha North High School. He had a wide variety of interests and careers. Earlier in his life he competed in bronc riding and was a heeler in team roping. He carried his love of horses and rodeo throughout his life. He served six years in the Air National guard as a pilot. In his professional career he was a barber, a commodities broker, and a finance manager for local car dealerships.
Bill was active in the Shrine and had been in the Corvette parade unit. He also had a love of golf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Christ Community Church of Omaha, or Shriners Hospital.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:00 am, Christ Community Church, 404 S. 108th Ave. Private inurnment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
