Duane A. "Ike" Monroe
November 20, 1949 - April 12, 2022

Duane A. "Ike" Monroe passed away quietly on April 12, 2022 with his wife, Deb, at his side, along with his friend of decades, Richard Luegering.

Ike was born in Waterloo, IA on November 20, 1949 and went to school in Dysart, IA, graduating in 1968. He graduated from Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville for his BA and went to Southwest Missouri State for his MA.

Ike and Deb were married in July 1975 and moved to Phoenix, AZ in April of 1977. He worked as a regional manager for Great West Life and then formed his company, Desert Asset Management.

Ike loved traveling by car, camping, 4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends, both in Phoenix and their other home in Pinetop, AZ.

He is survived by his wife and his sister, Judy Parker (Steve) from Casper, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Gladys Monroe of Springfield, MO and formerly of Dysart, IA.
