"Both Joan and George were a delight to our Brookstone community. George was so quiet and kind. Joan also was so very kind and spunky! I loved that she stayed active ... always cooking, cleaning, driving, and sharing stories with us. She always said her name should be pronounced Jo-Ann but Joan was OK with her, too. My deepest sympathies to you; she was a wonderful neighbor and a beautiful person. Linda Kaare "

"I had the pleasure to get to know Joan when we both worked at City Hall back in the 70's. I remember when microwave ovens first were coming out. Joan invited several of us women over to her home to demonstrate her new microwave. We oohed and ahhed when, in mere seconds, she made each of us scrambled eggs in styrofoam cups. She was a wonderful, down-to-earth, forthright person who will be missed and I'm glad our paths crossed."
