Kenneth L. Waugh, 82, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday morning, April 3, 2022, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Private family graveside services and burial will be held at Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. A private family visitation will be held at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. There is no public visitation.
Kenneth Lee Waugh was born on May 21, 1939 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Melvin C. "Mike" and Esther M. (Morehead) Waugh. He grew up in the Andrew and Delmar areas and graduated from Elwood High School. He married Janis Kay Kemp on November 20, 1961. Three children were born to this union, Cindy, Bruce and Douglas.
Kenneth was self-employed with Waugh Enterprises most of his life, hauling milk, farming, and doing bulldozing and excavating. He lastly owned and operated Waugh Tire and Auto Sales in Maquoketa, retiring in 2005.
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Cindy (Larry) Arensdorf of Maquoketa, IA, Bruce (Lori) Waugh of Maquoketa, IA, and Douglas (Peggy) Waugh of Maquoketa, IA; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cliff (Judy) Waugh of Anamosa, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a grandchild Crystal Waugh.
The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
