Lisa Marie Wingert was the firstborn child of Dale Harold and Lois Cecilia (Becker) Wingert, was born February 24, 1965, in Britt, Iowa. She grew up in Wesley and attended and graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona in 1983. She went on to Des Moines Area Community College where she earned a degree in Nursing in 1985. She worked at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines and North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

She enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, watching sports, nature and watching deer. Lisa was a very simple person. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Lisa died Thursday, March 17, 2022, at her home in West Des Moines. She was 57.

She is survived by her siblings, Lynn Wingert of West Des Moines, Leah (Bill) Gillen of Norwalk, IA, Lara (Daryl) Kleier of Wesley, Dana (Tami) Wingert of Des Moines, Lacy (Jason) Halsrud of LuVerne, and Lany (Matt) Mitchell of Wesley; nieces and nephews, Brooke (fiancé David Kalvig) Gillen, Garrett (Sarah) Gillen, Noah and Natalie Kleier, Brandon, Levi and Taylor Wingert, Molly Wingert, Tyson, Kennedy, Carson, Montgomery Halsrud, and Ruby and Daisy Mitchell; and many aunts and uncles. Thank you to her steadfast loyal friends, Jane, Ruth and Phil, Barb, Lana, Katherine, and Jolene.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Lois; brother, Deon; and grandparents.

Lisa was so kindhearted, and her generosity was particularly unique. She helped many people in multitudes of ways and the impact of her kindness will be sorely missed. Lisa was a friend to everyone. She will be missed. Rest in Peace now Lisa.
