Janet Peters Franklin

Janet Peters Franklin, of Los Banos, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. She was the daughter of the late Guy Peters and Elsie Mae Skelcher Peters of Flint Michigan. She was the loving wife of Neil J Franklin of Los Banos for 61 years and the caring mother to her three children, Neil, Jr. (Tracey) of Millersville, PA, Jaimie Franklin Bell (Jim) of Eugene, OR, and David of Gustine, CA. Janet was preceded in death by her five siblings, Bonnie Mae, Guy, Jr., Evelyn, Jim, and Ron.
Janet was not only a devoted wife and mother, but she also was a proud and loving grandmother, and great grandmother. Among her many accomplishments, Janet attended Northwestern Bible College, and Moody Bible Institute in the early 1950's. Janet was the founder and director of Maranatha Christian Ministries, Inc., and she traveled the globe bringing the saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to lost and hurting people. She was also greatly involved in the churches she belonged to in San Jose and Los Banos. Janet loved Jesus and she loved people, and her infectious smile brought joy to everyone she met.
Janet will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Geoffrey, Elizabeth, Melissa and Bryan, and her great grandchildren Zach, Jason, and Ada.
A private family memorial was held in Janet's honor, and she was interred at Los Gatos Memorial Park on Monday, March 14, 2022. Condolences can be sent to Neil Franklin C/O New Bethany 1441 Berkeley Dr., Los Banos, CA 93635.
