Mary Jo Marchi, 65, of Phoenix, AZ entered eternal life on February 28th, 2022. Originally from Buffalo, NY, she was born on August 14th, 1956, to William and Rosalie Poorten.
The life of every party, she lit up any room that she walked into with her bold voice and charismatic energy. She was a strong, independent woman that instilled the same strength in her daughters. People were drawn to Mary Jo's vivacious energy, and she picked up lifelong friends everywhere she went. She also had a strong sense of compassion and responsibility for one's family and community. This compassion led her to become a Registered Nurse, where she spent her adult life caring for patients as if they were her own family.
She is survived by her husband Anthony Erosky; her daughters Michelle Marchi and Nicole Marchi, son-in-law, Dakota Johnson and granddaughter Serena Johnson. She is also survived by her mother Rosalie Poorten (Coppola) and her 4 siblings, William Poorten, III., Eileen Poorten, Kevin Poorten, and Christopher Poorten.
She was preceded in death by her father William Poorten, Jr. and her brother Michael Poorten.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation in honor of Mary Jo to The Pulmonary Hypertension Association at phassociation.org.
