Donald Fields, 71, of Gas City, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2022. He was born on March 4, 1950, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Jasper and Olga (Terry) Fields.
He married Marilyn Holman on August 16, 1969, in Roseburg, Indiana. Donald was a 1968 graduate of Marion High School. He worked at General Motors for 47 years before retiring in 2016. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid golfer, and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, Anderson, Indiana.
In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, he is survived by his two children, Brad Fields, of Fishers, Indiana, and Greg Fields, of Noblesville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Bryce Fields, Hannah Fields, and Taylor Fields, all of Marion, Indiana; and three brothers, Dennis (Bobbi) Fields, of Marion, Kenneth (Betty) Fields, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lenard Fields, of Swayzee, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jim Fields.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, with Pastor Gary Woodring officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
