"Phil was our dear friend. He was best man at our wedding. Our son was named after his son. We enjoyed many treasured Thanksgivings with him & Charlotte. He never had an unkind word. He was family & will be missed. "

"A good friend and I contacted many of the fellow architects who were employed and worked closely with Phil. Phil helped to launch many successful architects and we shared among ourselves the many positive experiences we enjoyed and the encouragement knowledge that we were provided. We are part of Phil's architectural legacy we are proud to say."

Neal Glueck wrote on Feb 25, 2022:

"Phil was a good man. He was the step grand father to our two sons, and they adored him. His main holiday goal when they were young was to find them creative presents that were one of a kind, and they looked forward to those with anticipation, Phil was always good tempered and ready with a joke. I don?t recall him ever being in a bad mood or not pleasant to be around. He and Charlotte got along quite well, and we know she will miss him, as we will also."

Philip Reina wrote on Feb 25, 2022:

"It's with much sadness that I have learned of Phil's passing this morning. Having worked with Phil for many years, I got to know him and appreciate his talents and abilities. We continued to work together through the years on several projects. Phil will be missed. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP Philip Reina"

Layla Ashley wrote on Feb 23, 2022:

"Philip Combs was such a light in everyone?s life. He meant everything to his son and my late partner of 14 years Joshua Shannon Graham Combs, RIP. Joshua spoke of him like he was an angel on his life. He admired him so much, and was so grateful he had such a kind hearted and joyful father. He learned so much from him about what it is to be a genuine loving human being. Phil?s life was a success, and a gift to those his life touched! God rest his soul, and may he be truly at peace now. RIP."

Scarlett Glueck wrote on Feb 22, 2022:

"The luckiest thing thing that ever happened to me was becoming Phil Combs' stepdaughter. He was the bright thread that ran through the fabric of everything. He lived his life with kindness, dignity, and grace, and was the most elegant man until the end. Phil?s default state was "open delight?. He was a genius at being happy and a genius at making everyone else happy. Mr. Rogers was notorious for asking the question, ?who loved you into being, and who cared about you and helped you become who you are?? The answer for me was always my irreplaceable stepfather, Phil. The world lost a saint, but Heaven gained an angel. We will miss you and remember you always with great joy and gratitude. "
