"Mike and Sharon have been my neighbors for 16+ years. Mike never failed to do anything that would benefit my safety and well-being. Not only was he my protector, he was the neighborhood protector. He was our unofficial neighborhood watch leader. He always greeted my cat when he came to the door. He always greeted my grandchildren when they came for a visit. He presented the neighborhood children with Easter baskets and valentine gifts. Mike was a kind and generous soul. He will be greatly missed. I pray that I might be some comfort to you, Sharon, in your time of need."

"Dean Clifton 3/20 I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I have a great many fond memories of Mike's huge persona. He was so fun to be with no matter what we were up to,usually working at troy''s restaurant. it was at work we became friends and he and Sharon, we just like family to mom and dad. It seems like another life now, but to me it was a fine era for the few having had the opportunity. Mike Patterson was the life of kitchen, worked hard and made everyone laugh everyday! He did impersonations, told jokes, great storys and sometimes gently admonishing the girls for placing orders for eggs poached on a busy Sunday morning. (I think what he enjoyed mostly was just freaking me out if i came in with a buzz!) Or the time we went to troy''s downtown location to retrieve an item. As we entered building the smell of gas permitted the air, we went to the kitchen to find the source of the order. Just as we turned the corner, my cigarette connected with the lingering fumes and ignitated into a fireball that in turn, completely singed his hair and beard to the point I feared for his well being, but he took in stide, we both laughed, and we thought better next time round. I was greatfull for his overall size protecting me from injury as I was directly behind him. Anyway Mike was the one firing the replica civil war carton at the parties. I could go on on on.i would be remiss if I didn't touch on Sat nite s drinking beer and listen to Jimmie hedrix, he was so freaking cool to me, at a time when l needed a friend. and so kind. I'll offer up a prayer and love to Sharon."
