In loving memory of

Christopher George Solis
March 29, 1960 - February 6, 2022

Christopher George Solis went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 6th, 2022, at the age of 61 while hiking early Sunday morning on Quartz Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona. He had a heart issue while coming down the trail, and true to Chris's nature he called his wife Janene, and then his daughter Kimberly for her to come and take the family's service dog, Kiya, before he called 911. It was the day of his 42nd wedding anniversary and he had plans to celebrate that day with his family after his hike. His thoughts were always of his family first, which was how Chris lived his life, always thinking of others before himself.

His friends and family will always remember his selflessness and patience through his actions of always helping those in need, whether it was through handyman work, singing at church, or being there for people who needed it. He never judged and accepted everyone.

Chris Solis is survived by his wife, Janene Solis, his daughter, Kimberly Solis and her fiancé Joshua Anderson, his brothers Michael Solis and James Solis; sisters, Doris Youngs, Virginia Ward, Judy Gervais, and Dorothy Broyles; brother-in-law Patrick Palmer, and his wife Brenda P. Hanrahan, along with 15 nieces and nephews.

"Some of our favorite memories of Chris are camping. Chris was always one of the first up and would have the fire going and be ready to start the day and experience whatever adventure that day would hold. He had such a big heart and was always willing to help."

"I've known Chris since he started working for Finetech. We have worked together for many hours solving customer problems. It was always very easy to communicate with him and he could call me any time, even in the middle of the night (German time). I have come to know and appreciate him as a very friendly, reliable and intelligent man. I am even more sorry that he passed away so suddenly. "

"Chris and Janene have been our longest-time friends. Ric has known Chris since grade school and played in band together thru HS. When we were all newly weds we started spending time together as adults and found it FUN to have friends who had a pool in their apartment complex. Christ and Ric found themselves unemployed at the same time in the late 70s and together explored the ideas of joining the Air Force or working in the Idaho silver mines. Life led us in different directions in the early 80s, but the friendship has endured -- we were always ready and able to pick up exactly where we left off like nothing had happened whenever we saw them. And Chris took us all to see some of the most AWESOME places in AZ whenever we got to go and visit them -- even a walk-across into Mexico for a shopping trip. I remember screeching to a halt on a road adventure in the desert -- to see a live wild tarantula hiding under a sage bush. And being introduced to the beauty of Sedona and the absolute grandeur of sunrise over the Grand Canyon -- resplendent with the fog rising from the canyon floor. And watching Chris and Kim try skydiving for the first time...COOL!!!! Chris was always up for a good adventure. He is SORELY missed here....but we look forward to MANY more adventures with him in heaven. "
