Darrell Eugene Patterson
November 7, 1958 - January 16, 2022
Darrell Eugene Patterson of Lakewood, California, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 16th, 2022. We are all devastated by this loss and completely unprepared.
Born on November 7th, 1958 to his loving parents Thomas R. Patterson and Barabara A. Simpson. Darrell Eugene Patterson immediately filled the lives of those around him with an abundance of joy. Darrell graduated from Bryant High School in 1978 and went on to join the Marine Corps, where he received an honorable discharge. Later he went on to work for the Kraft Company.
Darrell was a loving uncle to his twenty-one nieces and nephews and adored by his uncles, aunts and cousins. Darrell was always a prankster and full of life. He really enjoyed spending time with his siblings, nieces and nephews. Darrell was passionate about the outdoors, where he enjoyed hiking, bike riding and camping. His presence is sorely missed and his loss is deeply felt.
Darrell is predeceased by his father Thomas R. Patterson and sister Deedee Tidwell. He is survived by his mother Barbara Tidwell, stepmom Sharon Patterson, seven brothers and sisters, David Patterson, Kim Dement, Tamra Patterson Shipman, Shellie Patterson Maida, Robert Wambaugh, Kelli Patterson Herrera and Dustin Tidwell.
Graveside services are being held at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California, on February 10th, 2022 at 11am. Please join us in the Garden of Benediction to say our final goodbyes and lay him to rest.
