More recently, Carol was employed at the North Daviess Community Schools as a kindergarten aide in the North Daviess Elementary School. A person of many interests, Carol was an avid reader and loved camping. She was known to be a good cook -- meatloaf and macaroni and cheese were her family's favorites. Most of all, Carol loved people, and cared deeply about her friends and her beloved family. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Those who miss Carol and mourn her passing include her mother, Patricia Nolley of Washington; her fiancé Cary Flamion of Washington; her daughters, Courtney Kane, Macy Kane both of Washington; and step-daughter, Michala Flamion of Dubois. Carol had four siblings: Karen (Brad Clauss) Davis of Madisonville, Kentucky; Nancy (Arturo) Davila of Celestine; Kristina (Louis) Kavanaugh III of Montgomery; and William Nolley, Jr. of Washington. Additionally, Carol leaves several nieces and nephews: Matthew Kavanaugh; Jessica Kavanaugh; Brooke Kavanaugh; Mitchell Kavanaugh; Nicholas Kavanaugh; Dylan Davis; Elizabeth Davila, and two great-nephews: Lincoln VanMeter and Chase Kavanaugh.

During her lifetime, Carol knew the heartache of loss: her father, William Nolley, Sr.; her son, David Joseph Nolley-Kane; her nephew, Derek Davis; and grandparents: Bernard and Delta Mattingly and Dorothy and Donald Nolley.
