"I was listening to your brother and you said you don't know how you're going to get through this one day at a time it's going to take one day at a time"
Jodi L. Whittier (Tonder) of Phoenix, age 63, was received by the Lord on January 18th, 2022. She passed away in her home with her family by her side. Jodi was born in Beverly Hills, CA in 1958 to Ruth Nadine Royer and Richard Wayne Tonder. As a child her family moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she later graduated from Sunnyslope High School in 1976, and has since maintained many friendships from her school days throughout the years.
Jodi had an artistic soul and had many hobbies that she loved to share with her family, including painting, cooking and sewing. She was kind and funny, and always made friends everywhere she went. As a mother, Jodi was loving and nurturing and always put her children's needs above her own. As a grandmother, she was fun and spoiled her grandbabies as much as she possibly could.
Jodi was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and is survived by her husband of 11 years, Chuck, her children Charlie, Lyndi, Laci and Cayla, her grandchildren Xavier, Melodi, Geoffrey, Penelope and Vance, and of course her favorite dog and cat duo, Max and Jack.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and condolences. Jodi loved and was loved by many, and she will be greatly missed.
