Mary (Leone) Woerner
Rochester: Mary passed away at 97 on January 24, 2022. Predeceased by her husband, Edward Woerner; parents, Pietro and Teresa Leone; grandchildren, Dana and Alex MacGowan; and nephew, John Leone. Survived by her children, Raymond Woerner, Stephen (Joyce) Woerner, Lorraine Woerner; grandchildren, Megan Woerner, Bret Woerner, Gabriel MacGowan, Natalie (Jade) MacGowan, Allison Landry, and Nicole Landry; great-grandchildren, Jannesa Landry-Cottrell, Gabriella Daniels, and Lydia Sarnowski; brother, Joseph (Barbara) Leone; and several nieces and godchildren.
A graduate of Nazareth Academy and Nazareth College, Mary worked at Kodak Office and Di Paolo Baking Company. She taught CCD and was in the Rosary Society at Holy Cross. Mary volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Mary's life story will be shared during her visitation, 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, January 30, at Bartolomeo and Perotto, 1411 Vintage Lane. The funeral mass is Monday at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Please direct any donations in Mary's memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd., Rochester, NY 14618, or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.

She was a classmate of my Mom (Helen Macchia) at Nazareth College and I was so happy that she remembered her when we spoke years ago. She was also a neighbor of Jean and Joe Carrozzi on Elmtree, You are so lucky to have had her for so many years....I lost my Mom back in 1992.
