Donald Eugene Downum, a longtime resident of Fresno passed away in Fresno, CA on January 19, 2022, at the age of 83. Donald was born September 11, 1938 to Thomas and Pearl Downum in Fresno, California. He worked as a manager for Parts Depot/Quinn for more than 40 years.
Donald met the love of his life Bette Johnson. They were together for 18 years until his passing.
Donald and Bette loved to travel. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Freda, his parents Thomas Arlie and Pearl Irene Downum, brothers Harold and Kenneth Downum, sister Arlene Downum and his daughter Sheryl Rudolph.
Donald is survived by Bette Johnson, brothers Jerold and Roger Downum, sister Anne Owen his children Danny (Vicki) Downum, Rickey, Cyndee, Scott (Nancy), six grandchildren, four great grandchild and many family and friends who love him.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos, CA. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels~Dos Palos.
