In loving memory of

Shirley Ann Emmons
March 6, 1936 - January 19, 2022

Shirley Emmons, 85, passed away while at the Daviess Community Hospital, January 19, 2022. She was born in Daviess County, to Carl and Mary (Sheets) White, on March 6, 1936. She married Ronald "Chuck" Lee Emmons on August 3, 1957. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1983.

A Washington High School graduate, Shirley had worked at GC Murphy and RCA in Bloomington. She loved to read and do Word Searches; and enjoyed watching the Hallmark movies, especially at Christmas time. But, most of all, Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events.

Those who are left to cherish Shirley's memory include: her son, Randal Lee (Barbara) Emmons, Diane Mellado (who was like a daughter to her); and her four beloved grandchildren: Tim (Kim) Emmons, Ryan (Stacey) Emmons, April Emmons (Marcus Green), and Hannah (Kyle) Freyberger. She leaves eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Jynsen - with another great-great grandchild on the way. Shirley also leaves one brother, James White in California.

During her lifetime, Shirley mourned the loss of her parents, Carl and Mary White; her husband, Chuck Emmons; infant sisters, Betty M. and Mary J. White; brother, Carl White; brother, Don and his wife, Marilyn White; brother Eugene and his wife, Carolyn White; and sister, Louise Seymore.

Visitation for Shirley Emmons will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana. Her funeral will immediately follow the visitation, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, beginning at 1:00 pm. Yvonne Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarland Memory Gardens.
