Anthony "Tony" Holzer, 43, of Eyota, died unexpectedly, Sunday, January 16, 2022. Tony was born December 13, 1978 in Rochester to Curt and Geraldine (Patzner) Holzer. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1997. Tony and Michele (Allhiser) were married August 19, 2006. They made their home in Rochester until moving to Eyota in 2016. Tony worked as a HVAC Installer for Tonna Mechanical of Rochester for more than 20 years.
Tony was truly a one of a kind, tell it like it is kind a guy who liked to make people laugh with his witty and sarcastic comments. He had a rough and tough exterior but a heart of gold on the inside. He would do anything for anybody, although complaining all the while (if you knew him you know). He had a passion for snowmobiling, older cars, Busch Lite, tattoos and hanging with the family and friends he loved the most.
Survivors include his wife, Michele, two children, Tyler and Carly, at home, his mother, Geraldine Holzer of St. Charles, siblings, Mike Holzer of St. Charles, Mark (Pam) Holzer of Zumbrota, Janell (Mike) Sipe of Mankato, Joe Holzer of St. Charles, Otis (Pons) Mosely of St. Charles, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Curt, and a sister-in-law, Lori Holzer.
Private services will be held. A public Celebration of Life reception will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Eyota American Legion. Hoff Funeral Service of St. Charles is assisting the family. www.hofffuneral.com .

"Having spent most of my life behind bars [handlebars] I have been very fortunate to know a lot of people. Because of the moto-culture of St Charles I have also known a lot of families. With stockcars, snowmobiles and motorcycles I got to know the Holzer family. Those friendships bring great pleasure and also a lot of pain in times like these. Most of the conversations Tony and I had were about our generational love of motorsports. He shared the same passion as I about being able to pass that love along to the next generation. We are but a flicker in life and losses are always tough. Tony would agree that the best way to show honor and respect is teach your children well in whatever your shared interests may be. Hug your children and spouses a little longer, treat your friends like you would want to be treated ,like it may be the last time. We are just a flicker, lets keep the fire burning. With prayers ,love and respect to the Holzer family,so very sorry for your loss. Rick Vincent Till next time Tony and yes I will keep a eye on Joe "
