Marvin Wendell Wilkerson, son of Robert Lee & Anna Mabel Burroughs Wilkerson was born June 8, 1927. He was a 1945 graduate of Springdale High School. Marvin served his country in the Merchant Marines. On August 1, 1948, Marvin was united in marriage to Donna Belle Tisinger in Tipton, Iowa. Marvin was a farmer and retired from the University of Iowa where he was employed as a painter at the Oakdale Campus. He was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church, Experimental Aircraft Association and Cedar County Coop. Marvin was also a weather spotter for18 years for KCRG TV 9 in Cedar Rapids.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Donna Wilkerson of West Branch, Iowa; daughter, Phyllis (Joseph) Duster of North Liberty, Iowa; sons, Dean (Pam) Wilkerson of West Branch, Iowa, James (Deborah) Wilkerson of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren Jackie, Debra (Mike), Michael (Angela), Quentin (Stephanie), Austin; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, William, Allie, Mady, Nicholas, and Anthony. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, LaMar Wilkerson, and sister, Louise Clemmens.
