Norma R. Holloway
January 2, 1928 - January 11, 2022

Norma R. Holloway, formerly of Fairmount, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at York Place in Marion where she had been a resident for several years.

Norma was born in Madison County, Indiana on January 2, 1928, the daughter of the late LaRoy and Beulah Marie (Harris) Walker. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1946 and married Joseph C. Holloway on January 23, 1949. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2000. Norma was a homemaker and worked 14 years as a cook at Fairmount High School. Norma served as a Girl Scout leader for six years in Fairmount and for two years while living in DeKalb, Illinois. Norma was a quiet woman who loved the Lord. She was an active member of Fairmount Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School, was a CYC leader, sang in the choir, and attended Ladies Bible Study. She also enjoyed attending the Super 60's group at Sunnycrest Baptist Church.

Norma's family would like to thank York Place and Heart to Heart Hospice for the love and care they gave Norma in her final days.

Norma is survived by her four children, Naomi (Dave) Miller, Bluffton, OH, Rachel (Terry) Oban, New Palestine, IN, Robert (Susan) Holloway, Fairmount, and Janet (Michael) Blake, Pendleton, IN; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois (Lewis) Richards, Fairmount.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Harold (Josephine) Walker, step-sister, Evelyn Groover, and grandson, Tyler Oban.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where services will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Visitation is from 11 AM -1 PM with the funeral at 1 PM, Pastor Dan VanCise officiating. Burial is at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
