James William Beller
March 6, 1947 - January 11, 2022

James W. Beller, 74, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022, at home.

At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. A private burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa, at a later date.

James William Beller was born on March 6, 1947, in Clinton, Iowa, to Roy and Marcella (Sterbenz) Beller. He attended school in Andrew, Iowa and moved to Arizona where he completed his high school education. He married Mary Casel on June 10, 1978, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, Iowa.

James had worked at Jack & Jill in Maquoketa for many years as a shift manager, and later at WALMART in Maquoketa as a cashier until retiring in 2018.

James was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. He loved country music, animals and checking out the internet. He especially loved his grandson Hayden with all his heart.

James is survived by his wife, Mary Beller of Maquoketa, IA; a son Travis Beller of Maquoketa, IA; a grandson, Hayden; brother Francis (Judie) Beller of Delhi, IA; sister-in-law, Kay (Mike) O'Connor of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, Vince O'Connell of Maquoketa, IA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dick, and a sister-in-law Karla O'Connell.
