John E. Ibsen, 95, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
John is survived by his children, Anna (Chad) Jones of Fort Dodge, David (Aniko) of Harvest, AL and Danny (Marion) Ibsen of Huntsville, AL; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Nettie Rehnstrom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bertha (Redenbough) Ibsen; wife, Helen (Buck) Ibsen, and brother, Carl Serk.
John Edward Ibsen was born November 9, 1926 in Rockford, IL. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On July 18, 1967, John was united in marriage to Helen Buck. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. John worked for Mid American Energy in Iowa and Illinois.
