Donna Edie, 91, of Omaha, NE passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Legacy Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Omaha. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Hastings Cemetery in Hastings, IA. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern on Friday, January 14th. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Donna and her family.

OBITUARY
Donna Rae Edie, 91 of Omaha, NE, formerly of Hastings, IA, passed away on January 4, 2022 at Legacy Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Omaha.
Donna was born on August 24, 1930 in Avoca, IA, the daughter of William and Arleen (Lassen) Ockerman. She graduated from Tech High School in Omaha in 1949. Donna worked as a printer machine operator in the duplicating department at Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha for over 40 years.
Donna and Harold Thomas Edie, son of Minnie (Shaw) and Andrew Edie, were united in marriage on July 8, 1950 in Papillion, NE. She and Tom made their home in Long Beach, CA where Tom worked as a painter with Donna's father. In 1951 they moved from California to Nebraska and in 1959 they moved to Carter Lake, IA. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Linda, Larry, and David. The family moved in 1969 to live in Hastings, IA.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren ("the babies" as she called them.)
Donna and Tom were married 55 years when Tom passed away on March 14, 2006. She continued to live in their Hastings home until 2015 when she moved to Omaha.
In addition to her beloved husband Tom, Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
Donna is survived by daughter Linda Clayton and husband Larry of Omaha, NE; sons, Larry Edie and wife Andrea of Underwood, IA, and Dave Edie and wife Vel Jean of Red Oak, IA; 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren; extended relatives and many friends.
