Ellen Beouy

Ellen Beouy, 100, formerly of Fairmount, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Wyndmoor of Marion.

Ellen was born on May 1, 1921, in Summitville, Indiana, daughter of the late Clarence Dale and Daisy (Marquis) Allen. She married Clinton Cecil Beouy on February 1, 1941. They were married 59 years before he preceded her in death on December 31, 2000. Ellen graduated from Summitville High School in 1939 and retired from First National Bank in Marion after 23 years. Ellen was a great seamstress, enjoyed oil painting, and loved fishing and mushroom hunting. Ellen is survived by three children; Larry (Linda) Beouy, Terry (Darlene) Beouy, and Sharon (Leonard) Ziegler, Tipton; along with 5 grandchildren, Marti (Greg) Treesh, Jeff (Sandy) Beouy, Mindi (Brian) Hunt, Joshua Crouse, Tracy Michael; 7 great-grandchildren, Noah Pollnow, Nathanial Pollnow, Chandler Beouy, Carragan Beouy, Erin (Michael) Anthony, Brianna Hunt, Charlotte Imel; and 3 great-great-grandchild, Huxson Beouy, Eli and Elly Anthony.


Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Herbert Allen and Wayne Allen; sisters, Eva Crouse and Edna Haisley. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. A graveside service with Rev. Alexander Soultz officiating will be at 2 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Vinson Cemetery in Summitville.
