"My sincere condolences to you. I met Carolyn later in life when she taught watercolor classes through Metro Community College. I was a true beginner with no painting skills at all. But Carolyn was a gracious, patient, funny teacher who could find something positive in my worst projects. I stuck with it and became a mediocre -fair painter. I?ll never forget her warm personality, her encouragement, and her own beautiful works of art.

"To all of Carolyn?s family, I am sorry to hear of her passing. Carolyn was an amazing teacher and a good friend. I was lucky to have worked with her at Florence School and look back at our walks to and from school with the long conversations we had along the way, as both entertaining and enlightening. She had a love of learning that she graciously shared with students of all ages. She touched many lives.

"Carolyn was a great influence in my life. One of my happiest memories was after I had become a kindergarten teacher and I had the opportunity to go back to Florence and share with her that I had succeeded in my long time goal to follow her footsteps. Although I had not been able to visit with her in quite a while, I will always hold our visits in a special place in my heart.
I am grieving her loss with you, and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers."
