In loving memory of

Matthew W. Wilson
August 23, 1981 - December 30, 2021

Matthew Wayne Wilson, 40, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Anderson. Matthew was born in Indianapolis, on August 23, 1981, to Debra (Dyson) Blair. He graduated from Delta High School in 2000. Matthew worked at IMI Specialties Company, in Indianapolis, as a heavy equipment operator. He was in the International Union of Operating Engineering Local #103 Heavy Equipment. Matthew was in the Navy from 2001-2011.

Matthew was full of life. His smile was contagious and he lit up the room when he was around. Matthew would say that his purpose here was to keep everyone smiling and happy, and he did just that. There was never a dull moment when around him. He was blunt, to the point, and was always inappropriate. Matthew was always there, or just a phone call away for his family and friends. He was a kind and caring soul, who never met a stranger. It did not matter where the family was at, they would run into someone that he knew. Matthew was a loving father, hard worker, and good friend. He had a passion for working on and riding Harley's. Matthew will be missed by us all.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Debra (Stephen Wilhite) Blair, Fowlerton; step-father, Roger (Yvette Angelo) Carrigg, FL; daughter, Kameran Wilson, Muncie; son, Kaiden Wilson, South Korea; sisters, Angie Holmes, Cape Coral, FL; and Melody Carrigg, Fairmount; step-brother, Mitch Carrigg, Anderson; and ex-wife, Amanda Guerrin, Marion.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patsy and Maurice Dyson.

Arrangements for Matthew have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 6:00 P.M. On Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:00 A.M there will be a burial with military honors held at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Armes-Hunt funeral home to help with his funeral expenses.
