Patsy Ann Jansen
August 13, 1931 - December 31, 2021

Patsy Ann Jansen, age 90, of Quincy, died on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living.

Patsy was born August 13, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of John Henry and Anna Mary Schuering Garner. She married LeRoy Jansen on December 28, 1949 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Patsy met the love of her life, LeRoy, at Scotties Roller Rink. She and LeRoy loved to roller skate and roller skate dance and they taught their children and grandchildren to roller skate. Patsy was a strong and independent woman who spent her married life with LeRoy on the Jansen Pony Farm. She enjoyed playing her chord organ and was an accomplished artist. She painted cartoon characters on all of the tin barns on the pony farm.

Patsy was a member of the American Legion Post 37 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as vice president for several years. She was also a member of the Rocky Point Club where she enjoyed dancing.

Survivors include two children, Pat (Ken) Dopheide of Quincy, and Jerry (Donetta) Jansen of Plainville, IL; four grandchildren, Laura (Scott) Bergman of Quincy, Mike (Jeannette) Dopheide of Champaign, Ashley (Andy) Gallaher of Quincy, and Austin Jansen of Springfield, IL; three great-grandchildren, Haley and Luke Dotson, and Owen Gallaher; a sister, Norma Loos of Payson, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Patsy was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Jansen, a daughter-in-law, Mary Jansen, her parents, four brothers, Lester, Virgil, Harold and Howard Garner, and six sisters, Helen Josh, Alice Garner, Viola "Tudie" Ringering, Ruth Garner, Bertha Martin, and Bonnie Smith.

Private graveside services will be held at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois.
