Eileen M Imming
January 10, 1937 - December 25, 2021

Eileen Imming, 84, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Country Home Residence in Council Bluffs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 29th with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. The services will be livestreamed via the Laufersweiler Funeral Home Facebook page.
Survivors include her children Michael Imming of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jackie (Scott) Phelps of Holstein, Jennifer (Dan) Reding of Bellevue, NE, Alyssa (Eric) Loecher of Cedar Rapids, daughter-in-law Kim Imming of Sergeant Bluff, 11 grandchildren Carter, Nick, Alex, Connor (Chloe), Jacob, Ashlie (Mike), Jay, Macey, Steven (Joy), Stephanie (Brandon), and Katie (Chris), 11 great grandchildren, siblings Ken (Ann) Sernett of Elkhorn, NE, Paul (Carol) Sernett of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded by her parents James and Alice (Condon) Sernett, husband Melvin F. Imming, son Steve Imming, sister Mary Beth (Dale) Murray, and brother Gene (Alice) Sernett.
Eileen M. Sernett was born on January 10, 1937 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from O.L.G.C. High School in Fonda. Eileen then received her R.N. Degree from Mercy School of Nursing. In 1959 she was united in marriage to Melvin Imming and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Eileen worked at Trinity Regional Medical Center for 41 years, until retiring in 1999. She was member of Holy Trinity Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Monican Mothers, past President of the Corpus Christi Guild and was active in the local bridge club. Eileen moved to Council Bluffs in 2019.
Memorials may be left to St. Edmond Catholic Schools or to Holy Trinity Church.
