On October 30, 2021, Patricia Nelson passed away peacefully at her home in Los Banos, CA. Patricia was born to John and Evalyn Bass on January 10, 1935 in San Francisco, CA. She was 86 years old. Patricia was married to her husband Normand Nelson for 66 years. They had three children; Steve Nelson, Linda Azevedo and Terri Bassak. In 1969, Normand and Patricia purchased property on Volta Rd. in Los Banos. In 1970, their house was built and they open their own dog kennel business known as "Nelson Kennels". Patricia opened the first dog grooming business in Los Banos, which she ran successfully for more than 35 years. Patricia was a kind, caring and loving wife, mother to her 3 children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was creative and talented in many things. She loved to cook, crochet, knitted and made beautiful craft items for her family and friends. She was artistic and had a passion for her dog grooming. Clients came from all over, even the bay area. They knew their dogs were in good hands; safe and taken care of. Patricia was a devoted to her faith. She loved to play the piano, enjoyed her wonderful trips with her friends and singing in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Choir. She belonged to the Golden Ages.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents John and Evelyn Bass and grandson Steven J. Nelson.
She was survived by her husband Normand Nelson, children: Steve Nelson, Linda (Danny) Azevedo and Terri Baszak, five grandchildren: Scott (DeAnna) Azevedo, Jenell (Antone) Powers, Jennifer (Arlie) Turman, Christine Beesom (Jamie) Norman and Trinity Nelson, seven great grandchildren; Ruben Beesom, Remmie Norman, Leo Azevedo, Oz Azevedo, Emma Turman, Phoenix Nelson and Cole Powers and many family and friends.
