November 17, 1980 - December 4, 2021

Ryan J. Cripe, 41, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 10th at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church with Rev. Brian Feller officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. The funeral will be livestreamed via the Laufersweiler Funeral Home Facebook page.
Survivors include his wife Julie and their children Madalynn, Cailey, and Caitlynn all of Fort Dodge, parents Joan and Gail Cripe of Jolley, mom Laura (Tim Newman) Lester of Scottsdale, AZ, grandparents Jary and Linda Lester of Cape Creek, AZ, brother Travis (Michelle) Cripe of Juniper, FL, step sister Heather (Steve) Good of Scottsdale, AZ, sister-in-law Jodi (Dan) Spitz of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, brother-in-law Jon (Heather) Baedke of Fort Dodge, mother father-in-law Bev and Greg Baedke of Fort Dodge, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Mallinger, Kay Lester, Ruth Pecoy, and Merle Cripe.
Ryan J. Cripe was born on November 17, 1980 in Sioux City, IA. He was raised and educated near Rockwell City and graduated from Rockwell City/ Lytton High School in 1999. He went to work for the State of Iowa Corrections in Rockwell City, Newton and later in Fort Dodge. He was united in marriage to Julie Baedke on April 9, 2005 and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Ryan then worked for ENXCO Wind and was currently employed with MidAmerican Energy as a Distribution Design Tech. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and playing his guitar. Ryan would often be found in Target where he never met a stranger and liked visiting with people while he got his coffee from Starbucks. He loved his family and the time spent with his girls going to their cheer competitions.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

"I worked with Ryan at the FDCF. He was always personable to anyone he came into contact with and was a mentor of mine. Thoughts and prayers to Julie and his beloved daughters. We hit the gym one day and I've been on injured reserve ever since! Easy for Ryan not so much for everyone else... May Faith bring you through this difficult time. Randy and Kristen Greene family."
