In loving memory of

Rose Marie Kearney
July 30, 1943 - December 2, 2021

I know how these things are supposed to be written.
That's not the way our family is...
This is a story about our Mom, Rose Marie Kearney.
Our Mom passed away on December 2, 2021, she was born on July 30, 1943.
Her Mother & Father were Frank & Gladys Cottrell, she grew up in Clayton New Jersey.
She graduated from Clayton High School in 1961.

Little did Mom know at the time our Dad, Thomas Kearney was on his way to Germany on a
United States Army troop transport called The USS Rose. Our Father did his tour over there &
came home on the very same ship The USS Rose.

When he finally got home our Father was at Runnemede Diner one night, when he met his
Rose. They hit it off right away! We remember my mom saying it was never gonna work, She
needed a step stool to kiss him. Our Dad was 6'7 & Mom was barely 5ft.
But where there's a will there's a way. They were married in 1963.

They had four awesome children Ralph, Tommy, Kathleen & Joey.
We lived in a great neighborhood in Glendora New Jersey. We were surrounded by Aunts,
Uncles, cousins & grandparents. We had great neighbors who are like family.

They both raised us all with so much love & caring. Dad was a truck driver for over 30 years,
Mom was a stay at home mother, she took care of us. As they got older they loved & spoiled
their grandchildren. They went to Florida for two weeks every year. They also traveled to
Tennessee, Niagara Falls, Cancun, Punta Cana & many day trips. They enjoyed their life
together.

In 2008 sadly our father passed away. Mom remained in the Glendora home till 2019. We
decided to make a change so we loaded up the truck & moved to Beverly Hills, Florida.
A nice little home that she loved. The warm weather was great for her, she got to spend time
with her beloved Aunt Marilyn & cousins. It was a good change for her.

We all gave her the love & care she needed. Mom just got sick, it was more than her heart could
handle. Our Dad was waiting there to take her home. We will see you both again.

She may have left us but Tom has his Rose back & she has him. She is at peace.

Rose leaves behind Her children Ralph Kearney, Thomas & his wife Kathleen Kearney,
Kathleen Samartino, Joseph Kearney.
Her Grandchildren Thomas Kearney, Jeffery Kearney, Alicia Kearney, Mathew Samartino,
Kimberly Samartino & Great Grandchild Derek Kearney.
She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

"We were neighbors in the 60's in Runnermede, a great friend!! Last name was Benkosky!! RIP!! "

Tom Heinsinger wrote on Dec 3, 2021:

"To Joe & family, I met Rose over 10 years ago when Joe and I became friends thru doing comedy and radio. She was an awesome woman & always seemed to be a caring mother. She took interest in things that Joe was doing and for a woman of her age she was outgoing and spunky. My family and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. I know there isn't much I could say to ease this pain, but it's in God's hands and like in the obituary, she's reunited with her Tom. Joe, love you brother I hope to visit after the holidays! To the rest of the family if you need anything please reach out to me, and please take care. Tommy Heinsinger & Family"
