Gaylord Henry "Buck" Prestidge
August 21, 1932 - November 28, 2021

Gaylord Henry "Buck" Prestidge was born August 21, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and died on November 28, 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is predeceased by his parents Henry Thomas Prestidge and Evelyn Meistad Prestidge, his oldest son Richard Prestidge and his granddaughter Felicity Prestidge. He is survived by his wife of many years, Evelyn Tuck Prestidge; his son F. Jonathan Prestidge; his grandchildren Ricky (Christine), Hannah and Ayden and numerous great-grandchildren.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1953, primarily in Germany and participated in the famous Berlin Airlift. Shortly after returning to the States, he began his long career in sales starting with Bon Ami and then Colgate Palmolive. He left Colgate and went on to found and run numerous very successful sales firms in the HBA field; namely, Prestidge Associates of Florida, Prestidge Southeast, Marketing Distribution Services, National Broker Associates, Sales & Marketing Management, and Euro American Marketing & Sales. Over the years he sold many of these businesses to his employees who then grew these firms into major companies in their field. Many of those same employees remained very close friends with Buck up until his death. Buck was still running Euro American Marketing in his 88th year of life.

Buck had an enthusiasm for life that was felt by everyone who ever met him. His warmth and good humor were legendary. He was a history and sports aficionado and an extensive traveler to every corner of the world. Unbeknownst to many was his sense of esthetics and love of beauty whether it was art, all types of music, live theatre, architecture, landscapes, nature's glorious displays, different countries, food and cultures around the world. He and his wife Evelyn shared many wonderful years enjoying these interests together.

He fought a long battle to stay alive because he loved life itself and did not want to miss a thing. He loved his family and friends and wasn't ready to leave us but the powers that be thought he had fought the good fight long enough. May he rest in eternal peace with a job well done on earth.
