In loving memory of

Maryann Jago Cristante
May 25, 1939 - November 20, 2021

Maryann Jago Cristante, 82, of Cave Creek, AZ formerly of Skokie, IL, made her journey to her heavenly home on November 20, 2021. She was born on May 25, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Ruth Jago. After graduating from St. Francis Nursing School, she was a pediatric nurse for 25 years. Maryann was an active community member in both Illinois and Arizona. When her children were young, she served as a girl scout leader, PTA member, and an enthusiastic fan for her children's many sporting events. After moving to Arizona, Maryann and Dick volunteered at many church activities and Maryann was a volunteer at Mayo Clinic spending 10 years comforting patients and family members. Maryann's true passion was her family and friends. She loved every minute that she was able to spend with her 11 grandchildren and her 2 precious great-grandchildren. She never missed one of her grandchildren's sporting events, dance performances or plays and always cheered the loudest. Dick, her beloved husband of 43 years passed away in 2005, and she missed him every day and couldn't wait to be reunited with him in heaven. Maryann is survived by her children, Marypat Rostowsky (Joseph), Richard (Susan), Julie Schenk (Edward) and Michael (Susan); her loving grandchildren Megan Mardeusz (Nicholas), Nicole Garrison (Joshua), Autumn, Michael, Daniel, Richard, Kevin, Kelsey, Keegan, Lilia and Olivia; her beautiful great-granddaughters Grace and Payton; her siblings Marguerite Mueller (Melvin), Arthur Jago (Janet), Richard Jago (Lisa); her nephews Scott, Matthew, Timothy, Arthur, Kyle and Lucas; many relatives and friends. Maryann was known as a second mother to all of her children's friends and a Mama/Grandma to her grandchildren's friends. She touched so many lives with her stories, her contagious laugh and her beautiful smile. A visitation with the family will be Friday, January 14th 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary located at 6500 E. Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ.
