Beverly Helen Bartholomew
May 12, 1933 - November 16, 2021

Beverly Helen Bartholomew died November 16, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born in Mountain Park, NM, in 1934 to Herbert and Anne Bruhn and grew up in Alamogordo. She attended New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (now New Mexico State University). While working at White Sands/Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM, she met Elwin Frank (Bart) Bartholomew, whom she married in 1956. As an Air Force family, they were stationed in many places, including Hawaii, Newfoundland, and Kansas. They enjoyed hiking, camping, canoeing and playing bridge. She particularly enjoyed collecting teapots.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, husband, son Gary, and son-in-law Martin Herker. She is survived by her sister Ilse Hurt in Albuquerque, NM; her brother-in-law John Bartholomew in Iowa City, IA; and her children, Anita Herker, Judy (Keith) Spanhut, Sarah Bartholomew, and William (Cathy Cullicott) Bartholomew. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stephan (Erica) Herker, Jennifer Herker, Brian (Jayme) Spanhut, Anna (Eric) Neilson, Laura (Nick) Scholten, Kay (Kevin) Boyer, and Megan Bartholomew. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Arthur Herker; Dax and Tucker Spanhut; Kathryn, William, and Owen Neilson; Danica, Grant, Tate and Bently Scholten; Roslyn and Everett Boyer, Reese Reynolds, along with many nieces and nephews. Beverly was a long-time member of Desert Hills Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale, where services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 3:00 PM.
