In loving memory of

Deanna Kay Miller
March 25, 1976 - November 24, 2021

Deanna Kay Miller, 45, of Clear Lake, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Deanna was born on March 25, 1976, the daughter of Reverend Dick and Charlotte (Ott) Miller.

Deanna was a very compassionate person and worked in the medical field her entire career. Her credentials included RCP, RPSGT, RRT, RRT-NPS, RST and BRPT. Her sense of adventure led her to work medical travel positions for a while.

Deanna was a fun loving person. She would make time spent with her adoring nieces and nephews outrageously fun. The messier and rowdier it got the more fun they had. Game nights were never boring, things may have gotten broken and you may have been scratched during an exuberant game of spoons. Your new coat may be covered in frosting coated animal crackers that were flung at you. It was worth it, you had a blast! One visit included dead zombie photos, costuming included copious amounts of makeup and creative use of tinfoil. As the nieces and nephews got older, together they enjoyed sledding, water parks, bowling and laser tag with "Nana" (their nickname for her). Most of the family enjoyed a good theme party. Deanna was always in the middle of it. She led the Macarena at the luau. She was a clown for Doug's circus graduation party and a pirate for a pirate birthday party on Hickory Grove lake.

Deanna was very outdoorsy and enjoyed hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping and campfires. From beaches to mountains and coast to coast, she was always excited for the next adventure.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, brother Dana and grandparents, Arthur and Jewel (Coates) Miller and Richard and Mary (McElroy) Ott and Chihuahua 'fur sons' Chippy and Zuca. Deanna is survived by siblings Dawn (Bob) Peace, Dick (Jen) Miller and Doug (Katy Juhl) Miller, 6 nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew and her Pomsky 'fur babies' Zander and Quinn. She will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins from her close knit extended family as well as numerous friends.

A celebration of life will be held December 12, 2021 in Nevada, IA at Rasmussen Ryan Funeral Home. A service is planned at 2pm with a visitation from 3-5pm.
