Charles "Charlie" Henry Bandow
December 24, 1942 - November 28, 2021

Charles "Charlie" Henry Bandow was born December 24, 1942 on a farm in rural Denison, Iowa, the son of Walter and Dorothy (Schneider) Bandow. He was raised on the farm and was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. He graduated from the Denison Community High School with the class of 1961.

On June 3, 1967, Charlie was united in marriage to Sharon Moeller at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and made their home on a farm southeast of Denison. Along with farming, Charlie was employed as a serviceman at V & H Tire in Denison and Carlyle Memorial before his retirement.

Some of Charlie's favorite things included: collecting International toy tractors and Heston belt buckles Every morning, you could find Charlie having coffee with the guys. He enjoyed going on tractor rides around the country and to local nursing homes. He was a member of the West Central Collectors Club and Tractor Club and a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison.

Charlie passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison attaining the age of seventy-eight years, eleven months and four days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Bandow; sister: Marjorie and her husband Ron Clausen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: LaMae and Raymond Miller, Robert and Van Moeller, Howard and Charlene Iversen, Richard and Joann Moeller and Charles Hansohn; niece and nephew.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include, sister- in-law: Maxine Hansohn of Bettendorf, Iowa; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with visitation one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment is in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig, Iowa.
