Ralanda Lynn Nared-Dixon, was born January 14, 1969 as the younger twin to her brother Radell Allen, in Omaha, Nebraska to her parents, the late John E. Nared Sr. and Brenda (Coffey) Nared. Ralanda was the third child to her parent's union. She has two older brothers: John Jr., and Radell.
As a child, as well as her adult life, she loved spending separate time with her mother and father. When in the company of her mother she loved doing what mothers and daughters do which was going shopping, cooking, and watching various movies/TV shows. In the company of her father, growing up she could not wait for the two of them to go the horse farm and ride horses. As an adult, the two of them would go out to dinner, but when he didn't want to eat out, he would have her make his favorite meal of chitterlings and greens.
Ralanda attended Fr. Flanagan High School in Omaha, Nebraska. Later in 1995, she met Travis Dixon and after only a short time they got married. The marriage was short lived, and then she met her true love, Greg Brown of 25 plus years.
Ralanda was such a loving person, she would help whoever crossed her path regardless of the relationship. Whatever the needs were of others, she would give it, she was truly selfless.
Ralanda was preceded in death by both parents: John E. Nared Sr., and Brenda (Coffey) Nared; her grandparents: Leon and Pearl Coffey, Percy, and Mattie Nared; her sister, Terrie Nared; uncles: Richard Nared and Leon Coffey Jr.; aunts: Jackie Nared and Frances Coffey.
