Albert Mohr
December 14, 1934 - November 22, 2021

Albert Stanley, son of Albert and Thelma (Pester) Mohr, was born December 14, 1934, in Denison, Iowa. He grew up in Denison and graduated from Denison High School in 1953.

On August 22, 1954, Albert was united in marriage with Letha Maye Muller in Denison. During that same month, Albert was drafted into the United States Army. He served in Germany with the 67th Medical Depot before being honorably discharged in July of 1956. Albert then returned to Denison where he and Maye made their first home. The couple also lived in Atlantic before finally settling in Manilla.

Albert was an entrepreneur and held a variety of jobs. Most of his life's work centered around trucking, mostly with Crouse Cartage. He also operated a gas station, managed the coop in Manilla and worked at Farmland. Albert's work was his hobby. During his retirement, he enjoyed working at the carwash in Denison.

On Monday, November 22, 2021, Albert passed away at Swan Place Assisted Living in Carroll, Iowa, after a few months of declining health. He was 86 years, 11 months and 8 days of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law Wendell Kullbom and Kenneth Neuhofel and niece Tracy Neuhofel.

Albert is survived by his children: Terrie (Ron) Dunek of Ankeny; Tammy (Gary) Muhlbauer of Manilla; Toni (Galyn) Wiemers of West Des Moines; Tom (Christy) Mohr of Epping, ND; Tori (Brad) Rasmussen of Spencer; Troy (Karri) Mohr of Glenwood; and Tim (Traci) Mohr of Sturgis, SD; grandchildren: Carrie (Nick), Alex (Jasmin), Keith (April), Cory (Jenny), Nicki (Brody), Kyle (Toni), Justin (Paige), Paul (Stacey), Benjamin (Miku), Nathan (Nathalia), Zachary, Jacob (Paige), Andy, Jonathon, Emily (Jesse), Jordan (Breanna), Max (Felicia), Matthew, Nate, Samantha and Jaxon; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Kullbom of Oakland and Sharon Neuhofel of Omaha, NE; other relatives and friends.
