Richard V. Weber

HARPER-Richard V. Weber, age 90, of Harper, died Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
Richard was born November 20, 1930, in rural Harper, to Victor and Allene (Sanders) Weber and graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in Harper. He was an Office Manager and Construction Site Supervisor for Natural Gas Pipeline in Harper for 35 years, retiring in 1988. Richard was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, where he served as Office Manager, Lector and sang in the choir, served as Treasurer and Financial Secretary in the Knights of Columbus, was Faithful Comptroller in the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, served as Vice President and Treasurer of Holy Trinity Cemetery Association and was sexton of St. Elizabeth Cemetery for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and visiting Colorado.
Survivors include his sister: Lee Jaeger of Harper; nephew: Patrick (Trina) Jaeger of Harper; great niece: Bobbi (Jon) Horras of Millersburg and great nephew: Jared Jaeger of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law: Paul Jaeger.

Memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with Rev. Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries - St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
