"Rest in peace my brother. ?"
Todd Griffith (66) passed away the evening of November 15 at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Georgia due to complications arising from cancer.
The son of Frank C. Griffith and Gloria T. Griffith, Todd was born February 22, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia and lived all of his life in Atlanta and Roswell, Georgia. He attended Roswell High School. After exploring different career paths, Todd developed skills for woodwork craftsmanship and began refinishing fine furniture.
Todd always had a love of animals and had a series of beloved cats and dogs. He often adopted abandoned animals and once rescued a baby squirrel that had fallen out of a tree. He nursed it back to health. As it recovered, it would perch on his shoulder and eat from his hand.
A passionate enthusiast of sports, Todd was a huge fan of Georgia Bulldogs football, Dallas Cowboys football and Atlanta Braves baseball. It was a true joy to him when his team recently won the World Series.
While Todd was a true coffee bean connoisseur, he loved down-home, Southern cooking. He always closely guarded the secret ingredients of his prized squash casserole recipe.
Todd will be missed by his surviving family: his sisters - Marcia (Ronnie) Banks and Sharon (Wes) Hayes; his nephews and nieces - David (Kendrick Brinson) Banks, Amanda (Brian) Vessels, Michael Banks and Justin (Maggie) Hayes; and his great nephews and nieces - Banks, Charlotte, Madelyn and Archer Vessels and Evelyn, Sophia and Nate Hayes.
The family is blessed and comforted that Todd has been reunited with his mother and father in Heaven thanks to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A private memorial honoring Todd's life will be held for family and friends at a future date.
